Connecting the Real Time Shipping Quotes app to Echo Logistics consists of the following steps:
1. Obtain your Echo Web Services API Key
To connect to the Echo Logistics web service you need an API Key. Contact your Echo Logistics account representative and ask for assistance. The account representative will make the request on your behalf. This is a manual process and can take several days. If you don’t know who your Echo Logistics account representative is, call Echo customer service at 800-354-7993 and ask to have your account representative contact you.
2. Connect the application to the Echo API.
Click on Echo in the app’s navigation menu to access the shipping provider settings. The Connection Settings page is used to establish the app’s connection to Echo’s Web Services (API). Enter the information prompted for, then click Save Settings. After the settings have been saved, click on the Test Connection button. You’ll see a success message if the app was able to establish a connection with the Echo’s servers. If the test failed, something about your connection settings information is incorrect. Make the necessary corrections and try again.
After you succeed at establishing successful connections to the Echo servers, return to the User’s Guide for the app.
