| Cut off time & ship date offset | These settings are relevant when you want to display estimated delivery dates. They determine the shipment date used when requesting shipping quotes.
Order cut off time
Enter the daily cut off time for orders. Orders received after this time will be quoted as shipping on the next business day. When left blank, the order date will be used as the ship date unless the order is received on a non-shipping day. Fulfillment offset days
Enter the number of days needed to process an order before it can ship. The shipment date will be postponed by the number of days entered. This setting is useful if your store requires additional time to prepare orders for shipment. Example 1
If an order is received before the Order cut off time on the 5th of the month and Fulfillment offset days is set to 2, the ship date will be the 7th, assuming all three days are shipping days. Example 2
If an order is received after the Order cut off time on the 5th of the month and Fulfillment offset days is set to 2, the ship date will be the 8th, assuming the 6th, 7th, and 8th are shipping days. What days do you ship orders?
Select the days of the week on which your store ships orders. The shipment date will be adjusted to account for the selected shipping days, which may affect the estimated delivery date. |
| Lift gate settings | Always quote lift gate delivery Enable this option if you want every LTL freight quote to include the carrier’s lift gate delivery fee. Offer lift gate delivery as an option
Enable this option if you want the shopper to choose between shipping options that include or exclude lift gate delivery. Additional shipping options that include the lift gate delivery fee will be presented during checkout. Always include lift gate delivery when a residential address is detected
When enabled, if a residential address is detected, the lift gate delivery fee will automatically be included in the shipping rate estimate. In these cases, the option to offer lift gate delivery as a separate choice will be suppressed, even if it is enabled. This setting allows commercial customers to choose whether lift gate delivery is needed while requiring it for residential deliveries. |
| Hold at terminal options | When enabled, the shopper will have the option to pick up the shipment at the Estes Express destination terminal instead of having it delivered to the ship-to address.
Hold at terminal service can be a more economical option for customers who would otherwise incur residential delivery or lift gate delivery fees. Storage fees may apply if the shipment remains at the terminal too long. Before offering this service, verify the terminal’s storage policies and any applicable charges with Estes Express. Select all
