On this page, you will choose the settings that affect every Purolator parcel quote your shopper sees at checkout. Enter the requested information, and then click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
Afterward, return to the User’s Guide to continue with the remaining instructions.
Purolator Services
Place checkmarks next to the services you want to display in your shopping cart at checkout. For descriptions of Purolator services, visit the Purolator website.
Beneath each service is a markup field. Enter a dollar amount, such as 5.00, or a percentage, such as 3.5%, if you want to increase the rate returned for that service. Enter a negative value if you want to reduce the rate.
The Handling Fee / Markup setting described later on this page applies to all returned rate estimates. Service-level markups are applied before the general Handling Fee / Markup setting.
Delivery Estimate Options
Don’t display delivery estimates
Choose this option if you don’t want delivery estimate information displayed with the shipping service options.
Display estimated number of days
Choose this option to display the estimated number of transit days with each shipping service option. Transit days are shown as business days.
Display estimated delivery date
Choose this option to display the estimated delivery date with each shipping service option. The shipment date is based on the order date and may be adjusted by the Order cut off time and Fulfillment offset days settings.
Delivery estimate range
Leave this field blank to display a specific estimated delivery date. Enter a number, such as 2, to add a range to the delivery estimate.
When a delivery estimate range is entered, choose one of the following display options:
Display range as a from and to date
Displays the earliest and latest estimated delivery dates.
Display range as an “on or before” date
Displays the latest estimated delivery date as the date the order should arrive on or before.
Order Cut Off Time & Fulfillment Offset Days
These settings are only relevant when an option to display delivery estimates is enabled.
Order cut off time
Enter the cut off time for orders. When the app requests shipping quotes, it identifies a shipment date. The estimated delivery date is based on that shipment date.
The cut off time allows you to postpone an order’s shipment date by one business day. Orders received before the cut off time use the order date as the shipment date. Orders received after the cut off time use the next available business day as the shipment date.
When this field is left blank, the order date will be used as the shipment date. Orders received on weekends will use the next available business day.
Fulfillment offset days
Enter the number of business days to add to the shipment date. This setting allows you to account for the time needed to prepare an order before it ships.
Example 1
If an order is received before the Order cut off time on the 5th of the month and Fulfillment offset days is set to 2, the shipment date will be the 7th, assuming the 5th, 6th, and 7th are business days.
Example 2
If an order is received after the Order cut off time on the 5th of the month and Fulfillment offset days is set to 2, the shipment date will be the 8th, assuming the 6th, 7th, and 8th are business days.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays.
What days do you ship orders?
Identify the days of the week on which you ship orders. The shipment date used for the rate request will be adjusted accordingly, which may affect the estimated delivery date.
Ground Transit Time Restrictions
This feature is commonly used by merchants who sell perishable products and need to prevent Ground service from being displayed when the shipment’s transit time exceeds a certain number of days.
Enter the maximum number of days your products can be in transit. Leave the field blank to disable this feature.
Restrict by the carrier’s transit days metric
Choose this option to apply the restriction using the carrier’s estimated number of business days in transit. Use this option if you will hold an order until it can ship without being delayed by weekends or holidays.
Restrict by the calendar days in transit
Choose this option if you want weekends and holidays included when determining whether Ground service should be displayed. Use this option if you normally ship orders at the first available opportunity.
Only Quote Ground Service for Hazardous Materials Shipments
Check this box if you only want Ground service quoted when one or more products in the shopping cart are identified as hazardous materials.
Ground Hazardous Material Fee
Enter the amount to add to the Ground service rate when one or more products in the shopping cart are identified as hazardous materials. The fee is added only once per shipment.
Air Hazardous Material Fee
Enter the amount to add to Air service rates when one or more products in the shopping cart are identified as hazardous materials. The fee is added only once per shipment.
A special agreement or contract with the carrier may be required to use Air services for hazardous materials shipments.
Handling Fee / Markup
Use this setting to increase each returned shipping quote before it is displayed in the shopping cart.
Enter a dollar amount, such as 5.00, to add $5.00 to each quote. Enter a percentage, such as 5.00%, to increase each quote by 5%.
Error Management
Quote shipping using known parameters, even if other items are missing shipping parameters.
Choose this option to generate shipping quotes using the available shipping parameters. If some items in the shopping cart are missing required shipping parameters, the quoted rates may be understated.
Don’t quote shipping if one or more items are missing the required shipping parameters.
Choose this option to prevent the integration from returning shipping rate estimates when one or more items in the shopping cart are missing required shipping parameters. A configured backup shipping rate may be presented to the shopper in these cases.
Enable Logs
Enabling this setting adds a Logs tab to the Settings. The Logs tab displays the last 25 transactions that occurred after logging was enabled.
Click the link in the Response column to view details about the response received from the shipping provider.

Quote Details
Choose where you want to view the quote details. Quote details include information about what was included in the shipping quote, such as residential or lift gate delivery.
If more than one stocking location was used, each stocking location will be listed along with the products quoted as shipping from that location.
The Additional Details widget is the default and preferred location because it is visible on the Order Details page. However, if another app also uses the Additional Details widget, the apps may overwrite each other’s information.
In that case, choose the option to make the quote details available from the More actions button.
