Standard LTL Freight Settings

Quote service options
Check the box adjacent to the services you want to receive quotes for. Use the Label as field if you want the service presented differently during checkout. A common alternative is to label the service “LTL freight” so shoppers aren’t making a branded choice.

Choose this option if you want lift gate delivery always included in the quoted rates.
Offer lift gate delivery as an option
Choose this option if you want visitors to have the option of selecting lift gate delivery.

Maximum weight per handling unit
Enter the maximum weight allowed per handling unit.
Handling Fee / Markup
Increases the amount of the quote by a specified amount prior to displaying it in the shopping cart. The number entered will be interpreted as dollars and cents unless it is followed by a % sign. For example, entering 5.00 will cause $5.00 to be added to the quote. Entering 5.00% will cause each quote to be multiplied by 1.05 (= 1 + 5%). Entering a negative number will decrease the quoted amount.
Weight threshold
Weight threshold
Enter the weight threshold for LTL freight in pounds. If the default of all the items in the Cart is set to Quote as a parcel shipment, and the weight of the Cart reaches the threshold, a quote for LTL freight will be generated.
Continue to display parcel rates when the weight threshold is met
until the total weight of the shipment exceeds (default 500 lbs).
Choose this option if you want parcel rates to stay visible at checkout until the shipment’s total weight goes over your set limit, which defaults to 500 lbs.
Suppress parcel rates when the weight threshold is met.
Choose this option if you don’t want parcel rates to be presented on the checkout page after the weight threshold has been met.
Discounts
Choose the option that reflects how your discounts are provided. If you’re uncertain, sign into the carrier’s website and retrieve an LTL freight quote. Under the rate estimates will be a note with the heading “More information about your results:”. The note will confirm if an incentive discount is being extended, and the discount percentage. Enter the discount percentage into the Quote Settings page. If you don’t see this note, then you have negotiated LTL freight rates.
My account has negotiated LTL rates
Select this option if your account has negotiated LTL rates.
My account receives an incentive discount
Select this option if your account doesn’t have negotiated LTL rates, but receives an incentive discount instead.

Quote Details
Choose where you want to see the quote details. The quote details include information about what was included in the quote, such as residential or lift gate delivery. If more than one stocking location was used, each stocking location will be listed along with the products that were quoted as shipping from it.
Write the quote details to the additional details widget
The additional details widget is the default and preferred setting because it’s visible on the Order Details page.
Write the quote details to the More Actions → Shipping Quote Details page
If you use another app that also uses the Additional Details widget, you’ll find that the apps overwrite each other. In this case, choose this option to have the quote details written to a screen you can view from the More actions button.
